The 1900 Diplomacy variant has some interesting features.
I would like to hear from you all that played it.

But I have never played on that map.  

It seems Germany and Italy are stronger in 1900 variant map. Italy and Austria do not have Scs next to each other any longer. More neutral Scs in the south, Germany starts with four home centers...

Strategy must have to change according to the changes on the map.

It is said that the 1900 variant is more balanced than the standard one.

I have never found anything better balanced than the standard one.
However, you have to remember that balance comes with veteran players mostly
and as veteran players are the ones that are most attracted to variants then the players bring with them a sense of play balance that hides the imbalance in a game design for quite sometime.

If everyone plays balance, no one will rule the board. I believe the balance is not for everyone. It's just for 3 or 4 players who can take control of the whole situation.

I do agree that balance comes with veteran player mostly. I joined a gunboat game with players who are kind of experts, and the game was finished in 1925.  It's very hard to take a lead in a game with experienced killers.
